Charts Overview

Updated Tuesday, July 19, 2011

Stock charts. From the day trading technician to the Benjamin Graham fundamentalist, nearly all investors use them at least to some extent. All online brokers offer stock charts but all are not created equal.  The ideal charting platform has all of the following features:
  • Large, clear, visually appealing charts
  • Ability to compare multiple stocks / indices in a single chart
  • A large number of customizable technical indicators / studies
  • Ability to customize chart colors
  • A large number of drawing / markup tools
  • Ability to save and load chart settings
For those investors that wish to use a charting platform that is different from their broker we recommend FreeStockCharts.com.
